all classes will be in person in Longmont CO at a beautiful house on seven acres with lots to explore. Classes will be held both outside and inside depending on the weather.

each class can be taken individually and be of great benefit, but they do build on each other to create a rich immersion into the tradition of Trolldom, and a layered building of the abilities of the students.

Spirits September 19

1-4 PM

Learn how to sense spirits, communicate to them, and relate to them in useful ways.

We will look at the traditional stories of spirits in Trolldom, guardians of the land, nature spirits, helpful and harmful spirits of the dead, ancestors, and helping spirits that are with us from birth.

We will also learn how to attune our senses to spirits, move past all the stories that stand in our way of connecting to them, and learn how to relate to them in ways that are safe and genuinely beneficial to our lives. We will give lots of gifts, and maybe make some friends along the way. As well has how to safely and gently deal with harmful and unruly spirits. We will also dive into ourselves as spirit and who we are in relation to the non-physical ecosystem we find ourselves in.

Using voice oct 3

1-4 pm

Learn how to awaken the power of your voice and the poetic ability innate within everyone.

We will explore the way voice is used in traditional Trolldom with an emphasis on “trollformula” (oral charms) and poetic devices that were used to infuse speech with power.

we will bring the potency of all that sound has to offer into our own speech and experience of our voice. We will experience the power that poetry and storytelling can have. It starts small, but once it is found we will always be able to find it again.

We will start foundations of spell casting, by anchoring our words and sounds into objects and reading our own and each others spells to see what it is he can create. From this we will find ways to use our voice in everyday life to be of benefit to ourselves and those around us.

Working with materia oct 10

1-4 pm

This workshop will start the exploration of the natural world, wake up the power within it and our own sensitivity to it.

We will go through some of the popular stories and uses of plants, stones, and animal materials in traditional Trolldom. We will look at the stories and lore of drinking the blood of the dragon and learning the language of birds.

We will then explore our own stories and start to develop a fluency for the language of nature. Coming into close and intimate contact with the natural world through sight, sound, touch, taste, and smell, we will hold what we discover up to the needs in our lives and what direction we want to go in order to craft our spells to align our lives more with our values.

Ritual oct 24

1-4 pm

This class explores the use of the more formal elements of ritual to wrap everything we’ve been exploring into a powerful means of delivery.

We will look at some of the traditional rituals used in Trolldom and how many of those are still with us today in one form or another.

We will explore simple rituals that can be done at home using fire, water, earth, wind, and household items such as plates, teacups, and kettles. Within the wrappings of ritual we will combine everything we have been learning up till now and find ways to direct what we call ‘spell work’ into our lives in useful ways. By the end of this, it is my hope, that everyone will be equipped with enough tools and techniques to integrate these lessons into our daily lives and feel the usefulness that, this thing we call, ‘magic’ can bring to us and our communities.
