My name is Spencer, and since being brought into this tradition, it has become a passion of mine to help people however I can with the wonder that Trolldom carries.
What is Trolldom?
Trolldom is one name used for the Scandinavian practice of folk magic. This tradition arises from the particular landscapes, histories, and communities of Scandinavia. At its core, is a relationship with the natural world and the use of what is available to address the needs of people living within it.
Alongside herbs, stones, spirits, spoken word, song, and powers of the land, Trolldom works with the unseen and the other—the things that cannot always be measured or easily explained, but which have long been part of people’s understanding of the world.
It is a living tradition: rooted in what came before, while remaining responsive to the needs of people today.
